Started with Unlock on March 28, 2025. Was told that if I met their requirements the process should be completed within 30 days, but that it could be less. They pulled the title of my home from the county and a some old fines showed up. I explained that they had already been paid off, they verified this and on 4/15 we moved forward to the appraisal process which was done on 4/22. After the appraisal it would take 7-10 days to calculate final numbers. I reached out to them on 5/6 for an update and recieved a call later that day saying that there was an issue with how the appraisal was written and they were waiting on an update. I contacted the appraiser who told me he had gotten them their requested information. When I followed up with Unlock I was told the appraiser had just been sent the request to complete the update so, why I was told before that they were waiting on him? 5/13 I followed up to get an update. I got a phone call later that day to review final numbers. We agreed on the amount that I was going to get and was told next steps is signing the final documents and funding. I followed up on 5/16 because I had not heard anything and the response on 5/19 was that they pulled the title again and now 2 ***** were listed showed. They told me that they showed up on the initial pull but they didn't show as ***** and they could not explain why they were there now. The morning of 5/23 I received an email stating that they had a call set up with one of the companies at 9 am and I would hear back from someone that day (yesterday) with the outcome. We are now on Saturday of a 3 day weekend and after calling and leaving messages with mulitple people yesterday around noon AND following up with emails I still have received NOTHING. Their communication is minimal at best and they are not forthcoming with information, the process is NOT quick and there's constant pointing at other people for why their process is moving like molasses in the snow.

Started the process online application and the offer was way low as the value they gave was wrong on my house, they made a appointment to ring me at 7pm and no one ever rang, i tryd called and got voicemail everytime, i sent emails no replies, seems shady to me when you cannot get someone especially if your dealing with rocket mortgage or someone else they are on top of thingsUnlock

An expensive way, but effective way to pay off all out standing debts and improve your capability to get a better rate and higher credit line a year later. I also used 30 K to put into qbtsw at .68 and racked up a gain of 200K as this warrant went to $6 in 4 ********** 2nd 250 K credit line at 8% fixed.Unlock

Really, really poor customer service with ********************** - once they have your money and you've signed on the dotted like, expect to get the complete run around for days or weeks on the simplest of issues - for example, need to change your primary e-mail address so you can log into their portal - how about NO. How about you chase them around for months trying to get it changed. Really, really poor customer servicesUnlock

Unlock was fantastic. After I had been dealing with another lender and getting the bait & switch for 3 months, I decided to contact Unlock. It was the best thing I could have done. Unlock was able to give me a large sum of money which enabled me pay off some debts and to stay in my home. This was done in less than 45 days. I am grateful.
