I have requested proof of debt from this company and they have not provided nothing to me within the legal time frame. I have advised them that i am not liable for this debt and have no knowledge of such contract and debt. Which is why *** requested legal contract and debt.Business Response

I applied for a loan with Fig Loans. They denied and stated reasons for denial was missed payments or delinquency of previous loans with Fig Loans. I have completed all loans with Fig Loans on time or as the case with loan I just paid off which was paid off early. It also said that my bank is a high risk institution. It is the same bank I have had for last 5 years and the same bank they have completed loans with previously. It is ***************. They are giving fraudulent reasons for denying loan and it makes no sense. I have had an exemplary loan payment history with Fig Loans.Business Response

This is not satisfactory. I was told to review the decision I was required to supply 3 months of bank statements even though the reasons they gave for denial were fraudulent. They dont require 3 months of bank statement s from new customers. There was no problem with my bank verification. It is the same account that has been linked since the beginning with fig loans. And they just received payments from that same account prior to applying for new loan.

I am writing to formally dispute an account on my credit report that does not belong to me. I am a victim of identity theft, and I recently discovered an unauthorized account under the name FIG TECH INC.The details of the account are as follows:Creditor Name: FIG TECH *** Opened Date: 1/1/2022 Account Number: *********Amount: $100.00 This account was opened without my knowledge or consent. (1) a copy of a current, state issued drivers license or identity document
(2) a copy of a police report evidencing the claim of identity theft or a completed, signed and filed FTC Identity Theft Affidavit (********************************)
(3) a completed and signed version of Figs ID Theft Victims Statement (attached). Once we have received the above information from you, we will review the documentation provided and update you within 10 days of completing our review.
If our investigation determines that the account was opened fraudulently, we will notify the Credit Bureaus to delete your account, and notify you within 10 business days of completing our investigation.

I have had several loans and repaid all on time. I got down to my last payment and tried to refinance like i always do with no problems. Only to find out that they dont accept my bank anymore but its ok for them to take payments from. I felt like with me being an established customer that has never defaulted or had a late payment some type of exception should have been made. Or the loans should have never been approved if my banking institution was a problem. There isnt anyone to speak with all they do is tell you to reapply only to deny you. This is deceptive practice on their behalf.Business Response

On April 6th, I received an email from Fig loans to finish a loan application. I didn't apply for a loan so I immediately, searched for a phone number. Every single phone number I found for them did not have an option to speak with a live person. I finally decided to try the option they gave in their email. Their email read, "Need help with your application? You can reach me by just replying to this email or by text at ************. I replied to the email explaining that I did not apply for this loan and would like more information about the fraudulent application, but the response to my email was simply, "do you need help finishing your application?"I also tried sending a text but have not received a response.What kind of company has this sort of business practice. Do they just welcome fraudulent applicants? How am I supposed to investigate identity theft if you can't report it to them?Business Response

Our investigation reveals that Fig received the consumer's details through Engine by *********, a service linking individuals browsing for loan products with financial institutions. If, on April 6, 2024, the consumer inputted their information on one of Engine by *********'s partner websites in search of a loan, their data would have been forwarded to Fig Loans for assessment. On April 8, 2024, the consumer contacted Fig Loans, stating they hadn't directly applied for a loan with us. Our customer support team clarified that their application came via a partner site. Regardless, Fig promptly canceled the application and flagged the account to cease further communication.
Should the consumer not recall browsing for a loan online around April 6, 2024, we strongly advise them to review their credit report and contact credit reporting agencies promptly, as they may be a victim of fraud.Initial Complaint

Good afternoon, I have been messaging back and forth with FIG LOANS for the last month and a half in regards to a loan I have with them. I have been told multiply things by several different representatives in regards to a late payment that was reported to my credit report inaccurately. I am in the middle of buying a house and it has lowered my score 50 points. Which has made me not qualify for a home. I sent a full account payoff check on November the 17th which was sent via fed ex. I have a tracking number showing they picked the check up on 11/20. When I emailed to see if I still needed to make the payment on Dec 2nd to avoid any credit damage because the mailed in payment was still processing, I was instructed by a fig loan representative not to make the payment on the Dec 2nd because I mailed the check for the full pay off on November 17th. They still reported a 30 day late on my credit report when they said they would not because I mailed the payment. When I was notified of the 30 day late on my credit by my home loan lender, I reached back out to them and they informed me that it would be removed the next time y’all reported to the bureaus( 01/10/2023) and that the correct payment date of November 17th would be applied to the account. I have a thread of over 40 emails back and forth with them in regards to this account. I waited until 01/12/2023 to contact them again to see when it will be removed and now they have completely quit responding to my emails. I need this to be corrected asap since it was their mistake. I have been extremely patient and the fact that they are not responding to me is so unprofessional.Business Response

The consumer brought this to the attention of Fig’s customer service team and the late payment was adjusted and Fig honored the date that the check was received as the day the payment was made. I tried contacting this business on 3 occasions to no reply till 9/13 app wasn't allowing me to update my banking info causing me to have a late payment I called 3 days before payment was due to no answer I sent an email and got a response 2 days later them basically saying they aren't going to do anything about it no where on the phone recording does it say they are not taking calls it says they are assisting other costumers which is misleading so I wasn't aware till I received the email I need a correction on my payment history lack of communication from company.Business Response

Fig Tech Response: The consumer sent Fig an email on 9/13/2022 and Fig responded on 9/14/2022. The consumer was attempting to make an ACH payment towards their loan. Fig’s customer service team assisted the consumer in creating a new payment schedule and the loan has since been paid in full. There were no late payments reported on this loan to the credit bureaus and as such no corrections needed.
